From the Desk of Manny Trujillo/Assistant Fire Chief/Prevention

Wood Burning Stoves

Avoid disposing ashes in a combustible container, like a paper bag! Metal  containers are best. Keep disposed ashes away from combustible materials. Do not place them on wooden decks or near wood siding. Keep away from dry grassy areas.

Clothes Dryers

Pull your dryer out from the wall at least once per year to clean out the hose. Clogged dryer vents can catch fire. Avoid sharp bends on the hose because that is where clogs can start.

Privacy Gates

Give us your combination…if we need to get in, in an emergency, having the combo speeds up our response.

Posting Your Address

Using reflective numbers/letters at the entrance to your driveway can help us find you more quickly at night.

Call us anytime you have a fire prevention question…we have the resources to assist you!
