The Pagosa Fire Protection District held its annual Firefighter Appreciation Dinner and Awards Banquet on March 13 and honored two gentlemen for their contribution and continued dedication as Volunteer Firefighters for the Pagosa Fire Protection District.

Gilbert was awarded Firefighter of the year for 2009.  He responded to 90 calls for service and had 112 hours of training.   Hill was awarded Rookie of the year for 2009 and responded to 107 calls for service and participated in 180 hours of training.  Congratulations, gentlemen!
